Just yesterday we had the first official confirmation from Land Rover of prices and specs for the new Range Rover Sport (although we actually published them some time ago) and Land Rover has now released a new product film of the RRS – a glorified video commercial, if you like. But unlike the RRS videos we had when the Sport first appeared, this video is much slicker and does manage to convey much better what the new Sport has on offer. From an opening showing design sketches of the new Sport, we get the Sport driving on a banked track, on deserted B-roads and off-road too.

With the new Mercedes S Class now out in the wild, Mercedes is continuing to add new models and this – the 2014 Mercedes S 600 – is the pinnacle of S-Class motoring – for now, at least. The 2014 (or 2015 for the USA) Mercedes S Class comes exclusively in long wheelbase size and get a 6.0 litre V12 planted under its bonnet that delivers 516bhp and a mighty 612lb/ft of torque at just 1900rpm. As a range-topping S-Class designed primarily for those who wish to be driven, rather than drive, the S 600 comes lavishly equipped with everything from Magic Body Control and LED headlights to Driving Assistance Package Plus and a whole raft of electronic aids including Active Lane Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist and Brake Assist plus Cruise that can actually steer the big Merc. Options will include everything from Nigh Vision to an Executive Rear Seat Package.

Prices for the 2012 Fiat Punto have been announced, with the entry level Punto Pop 1.2 starting at £9,990. Fiat has announced prices for the 2012 Punto, with the starting point being the 1.2 litre Pop at £9,990, rising to £15,600 for the range-topping 1.3 litre Multijet, which comes with plenty of equipment including Climate, Cruise and an electric sunroof. With the launch of the 2012 Punto models there are a couple of extra engine options to choose from.
